Treatment of Type 1 diabetes with B cell depletional therapy

The role of B cells and antibody in organ rejection is being studied in a mouse model of rejection. The drugs being used in these transplants are either approved for or designed to be used in humans. 2. The role of B cells in type 1 diabetes is being tested through the conduct of a phase 2 blinded clinical trial of these same drugs in patients with new onset diabetes.
