Community Mobility and Participation in Society (COMPASS)

The Community Mobility and Participation in Society (COMPASS) focuses on enabling access to public transportation for individuals who are transportation disadvantaged so that they may participate in their necessary (e.g. work or medical appointments) and preferred activities in the community. Many people who are transportation disadvantaged have received medical treatment and rehabilitation based on medical research. Those with chronic disabling conditions, however, still require the public transportation accommodations provided by federal law (i.e. the Americans With Disabilities Act) and other services to facilitate full and meaningful social participation.
