Indiana-Ohio Center for Traumatic Amputation Rehabilitation Research

The research we are doing is relevant to clinicians who are working with returning veterans in physical, occupational, and mental health therapies. By looking at the long term effects (both physical and mental) of Vietnam amputees we may better educate clinicians and the veterans on issues that are prevalent with this population. This research is using a mixed-methods approach of qualitative as well as quantitative assessment. The research team consists of physical therapists, health services researchers, and informatics. The research has the potential to help populations beyond military personnel to civilian victims of traumatic injury
