Taking contemporary social theorizing and applying it to the lived experience of educators in Indianapolis and beyond forms the basis for all of my scholarly work. Unsettling Beliefs, a book published in 2008, provides a formal collection of scholars from around the country attempting to take up the same project. As Associate Director for Community Partnerships for the Center for Urban & Multicultural Education, my charge is to continue to build collaborative relationships with community partners in producing effective, research-based programs across multiple disciplines and areas of impact.
