Computer-based Music Performance Assessment
This research is based upon A-to-D processing of music to ascertain the pitch and rhythmic accuracy of musical performances. The resultant software algorithms include filters to produce real-time analysis of frequency. This research has been incorporated into two commercial products and is used by elementary/middle school children for assessment of their skills. The results support evidence-based outcomes in the performing arts.
