On Thursday, October 14, 2021 several of IUPUI’s distinguished faculty scholars showcased their translational research and illustrated how they improve people’s lives at the IUPUI Center TRIP Annual Fall Showcase. These scholars have partnered with community members and others to translate their research into viable practices that improve our communities.

The Annual Fall Showcase was held virtually via Zoom beginning at 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. We recognized the 2021 Bantz Community Fellows and Bantz Community Scholars as well as the Bantz-Petronio TRIP Faculty awardee. Gerardo Maupome, BDS, MSc, PhD, presented: "Does This Look Infected to You? Peer Networks, Health Behaviors, and Healthcare Seeking Behaviors Among Hispanics” highlighting his translational research. Dr. Maupome is known for his award-winning research and work on understanding health disparities by examining social networks and living conditions.
