"A Stronger Nation: Translating Data into Successful Postsecondary Learning"
Jamie Merisotis, president and CEO of Lumina Foundation, spoke on Lumina’s data-driven approach to achieving dramatic increases in the number of Americans with high quality postsecondary education degrees and other credentials. Merisotis came to Lumina with a deep background in higher education research. At Lumina, the nation’s largest private foundation focused solely on increasing access and success in postsecondary education, Merisotis translates his research background into practice. In the annual TRIP keynote Merisotis discussed how data and research inform and drive Lumina’s work and overall efforts to increase talent nationally, and how Lumina is sponsoring and helping to create better analytic and informational tools for the American educational system.
