As a member of Dr. Teemant's US DOE grant, I have been working on two strands of research aimed at translation into a better school experience for teachers, students, and families. The first, Critical Sociocultural Coaching, (1) utilizes numerous quantitative and qualitative data sources and (2) draws on theory across educational research and beyond to (3) improve teacher learning, classroom interactions, and student learning experiences. The second, Equity-based Family, Community, and School partnerships, (1) utilizes multiple qualitative and quantitative data sources (2) and draws on a wide range of theory to (3) help schools better understand their stakeholders and form equitable partnerships with families and communities.
