Indiana's Policy and Programmatic Responses to the Opioid Crisis
The project title refers to a portfolio of federally-funded research evaluating evidence-based policy and programatic responses to the opioid crisis in Indiana, and is being conducted in collaboration with faculty from various disciplines. While this work is in its early stages, formative findings have already been utilized to guide medication assisted treatment in Porter, Starke, and Scott counties. Our policy work around the implementation of Aaron's Law (Indiana's Good Samaritan Law) has been featured in various media outlets and it being used by the Indiana State Department of Health to inform future efforts around naloxone access and use.
