Isolation of in vivo vessel forming cells
Our laboratory has identified circulating and resident endothelial progenitor cells that possess the ability to form new blood vessels when implanted in vivo. We are conducting preclinical studies in animal models of human disease to determine the most optimal use of these cells derived from human umbilical cord blood.
